Welcome to the Terra Sancta Museum
In the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Terra Sancta Museum preserves and promotes the archaeological and artistic heritage of Christianity, a treasure that has been safeguarded by the Franciscans of the Custody of the Holy Land for more than 800 years.
The Terra Sancta Museum project is to have three sections: the multimedia and archaeological sections are in the Monastery of the Flagellation, on the Via Dolorosa, and are already partially open to visitors.
The opening of the historical section, which will be opened in the Monastery of St Savior, is planned for 2025 -2026 and will display the many donations made over the centuries by the Royal Courts of Europe.
